# What's in settings?

Open **Settings** in the sidebar to configure AI models, manage API access, review usage, and customize your workspace.

Settings opens in a dialog over the page you're on. To open it from anywhere, press `Cmd+,` on macOS or `Ctrl+,` on Windows and Linux. **Billing**, **Usage**, and **Team** open as full pages. **Team** appears only when your account belongs to a workspace or organization. If you have unsaved changes in **Integrations**, Settings asks you to confirm before it closes or switches sections.

## Models

Use **Models** to configure the AI models and inference providers that power your Flows and Agents. The tab has two views:

* **Models**: Review the models configured for your workspace. Set a default model, edit a configuration, or remove a model. If workspace members configured the same model with different settings, the model shows a **Needs configuration** badge and stays disabled until you edit its configuration.
* **Providers**: Connect provider API keys. Each provider card shows the number of available and configured models and links to provider documentation.

To add a model, click **Add model**. Filter the model catalog by creator, capability, context length, or price.

Use **Usage Snapshot** to review this month's request count, estimated model cost, and top cost driver.

Runtype includes platform keys, so you can start without adding a provider API key. To connect provider keys, see [Connecting AI model providers](/user-guide/integrations/connecting-ai-model-providers).

## API

Use **API** to create and manage keys for programmatic requests to the Runtype API. To create a key, click **Create New API Key**. In the dialog, enter a name, select **Test** or **Production**, and optionally assign permissions and an expiration date.

Each key shows status badges such as **Active**, **Inactive**, **Expired**, and **Test**. You can reveal **Test** keys, edit, regenerate, activate or deactivate, and delete keys. In a shared workspace, only the member who created a key can edit, regenerate, reveal, activate or deactivate, or delete it. Other members see a **View only** badge.

Use **Test** keys for development. A Test key allows 20 executions per day and 200 over its lifetime. It can't delete resources, manage API keys, change integrations, or manage schedules. Use a **Production** key for those operations. For details, see [Managing API keys](/user-guide/settings/managing-api-keys).

## Connected apps

Use **Connected apps** to review and revoke apps that you signed in to with your Runtype account. Each app has a grant that lets it act on your behalf through the Runtype API. Revoking access immediately invalidates the API key that the app uses.

Each grant is bound to one organization or your personal account. When you authorize an app for an account with multiple organizations, select an organization with **Authorize in**. Runtype checks your selection against your organization memberships.

The list includes grants for your personal account and every organization that you belong to. Each grant shows its personal or organization scope, and grants outside your active organization are highlighted.

To connect third-party services such as analytics, web scraping, or email for your Flows and Agents, open **Integrations** instead.

## Secrets

Use **Secrets** to store sensitive values such as API keys, tokens, and credentials. Reference a managed secret in supported Flows, Agents, and Tools with `{{secret:NAME}}`, where `NAME` is the secret name.

## Billing

Use **Billing** to review your plan, trial status, credits, platform-billed usage, spend cap, payment method, and invoices. Admins see **Upgrade** or **Manage billing** to change the plan, payment details, or subscription settings.

The **Billing** page shows these details:

* **Plan**: Review your plan, trial status, and billing interval.
* **Credits**: Review credits that apply to usage billed by Runtype.
* **Usage toward your monthly cap**: Review month-to-date usage against your monthly USD spend cap. New executions pause when you reach the cap. Admins can set, change, or clear the cap with **Set a cap**, **Change cap**, and **Clear cap**.
* **Usage this billing month**: Review how much usage counts toward your monthly cap.
* **Bring your own keys**: Check whether bring your own key (BYOK) is enabled for your plan. BYOK is available on the Team plan and higher.
* **Detailed usage this month**: Review requests, estimated model cost, and the top cost driver. Click **View detailed usage** to open **Usage**.
* **Invoices**: Review recent invoices when they are available.

When you use BYOK, usage through your own API keys isn't deducted from Runtype credits. For billing questions and plan details, see [FAQ](/user-guide/troubleshooting-faq/faq).

## Usage

Use **Usage** to review cost and execution activity. The page opens to **Billing month**. Use **Period** to switch to **7d**, **30d**, or **90d** views.

The **Usage** page has these metrics and breakdowns:

* **Usage cost over time**: Track spending trends.
* **Usage cost by category**: Compare costs for AI models and built-in tools.
* **Cost by AI model**: Identify the models that drive the most cost.
* **Cost by built-in tool**: Review tool-level cost attribution.
* **Executions over time**: Track execution volume. An execution is one Flow run, batch-record run, Eval run, or scheduled trigger.
* **Prompt cache**: Review cache token totals when your usage includes [prompt-cache](/user-guide/settings/prompt-caching) activity.

Usage data refreshes automatically. Use **Refresh** to request a manual refresh and **Export CSV** to download the report. Recent activity can take a short time to appear. The page shows when it was last updated and warns when the selected period starts before the available history. When no Runtype-billed usage is available, the page shows an empty state.

## Integrations

Use **Integrations** to connect third-party services for your Flows and Agents. The **Integrations** tab has these cards:

* **Google**: Connect a Google account so Agents and Flows can use Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, and Drive. For details, see [Google Workspace integration](/user-guide/integrations/google-workspace-integration).
* **Granola**: Give Agents and Flows read access to your Granola meeting notes.
* **Orthogonal**: Add your Orthogonal API key to use the Orthogonal API marketplace from your Agents and Flows.
* **Analytics & Observability**: Add a PostHog Project API key to enable the send-event step in your Flows.
* **Web Scraping**: Configure Cloudflare Browser Rendering for the crawl step. Add [Firecrawl](/user-guide/integrations/firecrawl-web-scraping), Massive, or [Exa](/user-guide/integrations/exa-web-search) keys for web data extraction and search.
* **Vector Databases**: Connect [Weaviate](/user-guide/integrations/weaviate-vector-search) or Cloudflare Vectorize for vector storage and retrieval. Add multiple configurations and set a default configuration.
* **Code Execution**: Add a Daytona key for sandboxed code execution in your Flows.
* **Email**: Configure Resend to enable the send email step in your Flows and Agents.

Some integrations use Runtype platform keys when you don't add your own key. This includes Firecrawl, Massive, Exa, Daytona, Resend, and Orthogonal.

## Dashboard

Use **Dashboard** to set personal preferences for the dashboard:

* **Theme**: Choose **Light**, **Dark**, or **System**. Preview each option before you select it.
* **Always download API keys**: Choose whether newly created API keys download automatically as a JSON file.

## Team

Use **Team** to manage your workspace's members and invitations. The **Team** page has these sections:

* **Team Members**: View members with **Admin** and **Member** roles. Admins can promote members, demote admins, or remove members. To invite people, click **Invite Member**.
* **Pending Invitations**: Admins can view and revoke invitations that recipients have not accepted.
