Managing Runtype with Claude
Connect your Runtype account to Claude and manage your Surfaces, Agents, Flows, Records, and more through natural conversation. Once connected, Claude can work with your Runtype workspace directly so you can inspect, update, and run capabilities without leaving the chat.
Runtype connects to Claude with a secure OAuth flow, so you can authorize access in a few clicks without sharing credentials directly.
Set up the connection
In Claude, open Settings and go to Connectors.
Click Add custom connector.
Enter a name such as Runtype and use this URL: https://api.runtype.com/v1/mcp/protocol
Click Add. When the connector appears in your list, click Connect to start authorization.
Claude will redirect you to your Runtype dashboard. Approve the connection to link your account securely.
Return to Claude. When you see Configure, the connection is ready to use.
What you can do
After setup, Claude can interact with your Runtype account directly. You can ask Claude to:
List your Flows or Agents
Create or update a Flow
Run an Agent or Flow on demand
View and manage your Records
You can ask Claude to run a Flow with specific input and stream the result back into the conversation. This is a fast way to test behavior and iterate.
