Onboarding credit rewards
For the first 14 days after you create your account, the Dashboard shows an onboarding panel titled Earn up to $30 of build credit. Each task in the panel adds platform-key credit to your account when you complete and claim it. This page lists the tasks, explains how to claim them, and covers the most common claim problems.
Before you begin
You need a Runtype account that is less than 14 days old. For sign-up steps, see Creating your account.
How the panel works
The panel is at the top of the Dashboard until you have a product, and then it moves under your workspace overview. It shows a progress bar with the credit you’ve claimed, the credit that is still unclaimed, and the number of days left to claim.
Each task row shows what it pays, even before you complete it. A row that you haven’t completed shows a button that opens the place where you do the task. After Runtype detects that you completed the task, the row shows Claim instead.
The following table lists the tasks in the panel:
The $30 in the panel heading counts the first four tasks. The last three tasks pay in addition to that total. Runs in the Playground don’t complete Run your first agent, because the task needs a saved agent or a record.
Claim a reward
To claim the credit for a task that Runtype verifies, follow these steps:
- On the Dashboard, find the task in the onboarding panel.
- Click the task’s button, and then complete the task on the page that opens.
- Return to the Dashboard. The task row shows Claim.
- Click Claim. The row shows Claimed, and the credit is added to your balance.
To claim the credit for Join our community or Follow @runtypelabs on X, follow these steps:
- Click Join the Discord or Follow on X. The site opens in a new tab.
- Join the server or follow the account.
- Optional: In the field that appears in the task row, enter your Discord username or X handle.
- Click I joined. Claim or I followed. Claim.
To check the new balance, open Settings > Billing and view the Credits card. The credit applies to models and built-in tools that use platform keys.
After you claim every task, the panel shrinks to one line that shows the total you claimed. To hide the task list before then, click Collapse rewards beside the panel heading. The panel stays collapsed in that browser until you click Expand rewards.
Rewards in an organization
In an organization, the panel tracks one set of tasks for the whole organization. Each task pays once per organization, whichever member claims it. The 14 days start when the organization is created. To claim a task, your own Runtype account must also be less than 14 days old.
Troubleshooting
The Claim button doesn’t appear
Runtype checks for the task when the Dashboard loads. After you complete the task, return to the Dashboard or reload the page.
If you click Claim and Runtype can’t find the work, the claim fails with a message that names the missing step. For example, “Run an agent, or run a flow on a record, first.” Complete that step, and then claim again.
The verification email doesn’t arrive
If your email address isn’t verified, the Verify your email row shows Resend verification email. Click it, and then open the new email. If Runtype can’t send the email, verify your address from your account settings in the sidebar. For more steps, see Authentication issues.
A task shows Contact support to finish this claim
The claim started but the credit wasn’t added. Contact Runtype support to finish it. Don’t claim the task again.
The panel is gone
The panel appears only during the first 14 days after your account or organization was created. After that, you can’t claim new rewards, and credit that you already claimed stays in your balance.
